53.1 Complete the sentences for each situation using –ing.
 1.       Man: “What shall we do?”
Woman: “We could go to the zoo.”
She suggested going to the zoo

 2.       Woman: “Do you want to play tennis?”
Man: “No, not really.”
He didn’t fancy playing tennis

 3.       Man: “You were driving too fast.”
Woman: “You’re right. Sorry!
She admited driving too fast

 4.       Woman: “Let’s go Swimming.”
Man: “Good idea!”
She suggested going fo a Swim

 5.       Woman: “You broke the DVD player.”
Man: “No, I didn’t!”
He denied breaking the dvd player

 6.       Woman 1: “Can you wait a few minutes?”
Woman 2: “Sure, no problem.”
They didn’t mind waiting a few minutes

53.2 Complete each sentence with one of the following verbs (in the correct form):

53.4 Use your own ideas to complete these sentences. Use –ing.
 1.       She’s very interesting person. I always enjoy talking to her.
 2.       I’m not feeling very well. I dont fancy going out.
 3.       I’m afraid there aren’t any chairs. I hope you don’t mind sitting on the floor.
 4.       It was a beutiful day, so I suggested having a picnic.
 5.       It was very funny. I couldn’t stop laughing.
 6.       My car isn’t very reliable. It keeps breaking down.

54.1 Complete the sentences for these situations.
 1.       Woman: “Shall we get married?”
Man: “Yes, let’s”

54.2 Complete each sentence with a suitable verb.
 1.       Don’t forget to lock the door when you go out.
 2.       There was a lot of traffic, but we managed to get to the airport in time.

54.3 Put the verb into the correct form, to.....or –ing. (See Unit 53 for verbs + -ing).

54.4 Make a new sentences using the verb in brackets
